I have always wanted to make a Tumbling block quilt but was intimidated my diamonds, but I finally made one. I made this wall hanging with the Square in a Square® technique, without diamonds and setting-in seams! I used Option 1™ of the Square in a Square® to make this beautiful three dimentional look. The difficult part of this pattern was the color placement.

Rolling Star
I am working on a new Square in a Square project. It is called Rolling Star. I have made one row to determine if the fabric I have chosen will go together and they do. It is going to be a fantastic quilt. The Rolling Star block pattern is found in the 10th Anniversary book by Jodi Barrows.
Here is a picture of the row:
I am planning on making 6 more rows and I will alternate the stars. This might be an interesting class to teach. The pattern looks difficult but it is very easy and it goes together quickly, thanks to the Square in a Square options.
